SortWizard Plus Update - Beta Version 2.1998  (rev date: 7/2/04)

This update is only for RealTick 7.7 users or 7.6 users updating to 7.7.  Because the new RealTick 7.7 platform has an entirely new datafeed interface, we had to rewrite of the SortWizard's interface to RealTick. This is a beta version so there may be issues that still need to be resolved.  Please report them to us if you encounter any problems.  Click here for installation instructions.

Change RealTick User Name:

If you changed brokers or supplied the incorrect user name and can not login: click here go to FAQs for instructions.
 

Add-on Module download site:

If you are a subscriber and purchased any of the Add-on Modules, Click here to go to the file download site.  All the files are password protected.  Have your email with your new authorization file and password to enable you to complete the installation.

SortWizard Sample and Template files backup set

The file set of STKs is "Zipped" to make downloading much easier.  You will need to have WinZip to extract the files.  If you do not have WinZip, you can Click Here to download the application from their site.

Downloading procedure:

  1. Click here to download the STK files.  Save them to your c:\ProgramFiles\Neo Inc\SortWizard folder.  If you installed the SortWizard to a different folder than the installation's default location, then save them in that folder.

  2. UnZip (extract) the Zip file into the SortWizard folder in #1 above.

  3. Look in the file browser list box to the left of the SortWizard's display window and you will find all of the files when you click either the Template or User Files button.  If you do not see the list box, then go to "View" on menu bar of the SortWizard and  enable "Show file browser" by clicking on it once.

Sample RealTick page:

If you are using a smaller monitor with a lower resolution display setting than shown, some font changing and window resizing will be required in RealTick.  You can change your monitor display settings in the Windows Control Panel, Display Properties window and then by clicking on the "Settings" tab and making the desired changes.

Select the page that most closely fits your display setup.  Download the page to the "Pages" folder in the TAL, TAL Tools or Townsend Analytics folder.  If you have trouble locating the location of the Pages folder contact you RealTick vendor.

  • These pages are set up for a 21" monitor running at a resolution of 1600 x 1200 and using the "large fonts" display setting.

Some helpful batch files:

For all the batch files, copy them into a new file folder named C:\Backup. 

  • To Backup your Pages create a folder named C:\Backup\PagesBU then make a shortcut to the batch file and put it on your desktop.  Then click on the icon to start it.

  • To Backup your Alarms create a folder named C:\Backup\AlarmBU then make a shortcut to the batch file and put it on your desktop.  Then click on the icon to start it.

  • To Trace Route to your RT 3 Server, just make a shortcut to the batch file and put it on your desktop.  Then click on the icon to start it.  This file has been targeted to the Townsend Analytics (TAL) server.

    The Trace Route will most likely need to be edited to the target server of your data feed supplier.  You can open and edit the batch file in Notepad.  Get the server number from your data feed supplier and change the server number to the correct one and then save the file.  You can also change the icon by right clicking on the icon and clicking Properties, then Program tab and then Change Icon.
